SUMMARY:A Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme
DESCRIPTION:A Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme was successfully conducted on the 26th of September 2025 at J/Kaladdy Methodist Mission Tamil Mixed School\, Jaffna Zone\, in recognition of World Mental Health Day. This meaningful event aimed to promote mental wellbeing among students and to raise awareness on the importance of emotional and psychological health. A total of 33 students and 5 teachers actively participated in the programme. The sessions included interactive discussions\, stress management techniques\, mindfulness activities\, and group exercises designed to build emotional resilience and promote positive thinking among students. The programme was well-received by both students and teachers. According to the feedback collected\, all participants expressed high levels of satisfaction with the content and delivery of the sessions. They found the event to be very useful\, relevant\, and engaging. Many highlighted that they gained practical tools for managing stress\, improving focus\, and maintaining a healthy mindset. The event served as an effective mental health initiative\, fostering a safe space for open dialogue on mental wellbeing and encouraging students to seek help when needed. It also empowered teachers with insights into supporting student mental health within the school environment.
